BlissDom is a truly unique and gratifying experience for the O2O Team. Since BlissDom started in 2008, we’ve been a devoted sponsor partner. We go there to meet, connect and maybe even ‘hug on’ the attendees a bit – many of which are O2O members.
Each year at BlissDom, we hope to show you the #girlpower side of O2O; our small but mighty team that loves working with women who love blogging and social media.
We hope to show you that we know you are more than the number of page views you get a month or the number of people who follow you on Twitter or the number of subscribers you have on YouTube. We hope to show you that you are valued for simply being you.
This year the BlissChicks took pampering us to an all new level with a fabulous Bliss Suite sponsored by One2One Network, Office Candy, V05, and NYX Cosmetics. … I had my hair and makeup done, got my photo taken, and then headed out to face whatever bliss might come my way! ~Beth Zimmerman
BlissDom is our chance to connect, one to one and face to face, with the women who participate in our projects and campaigns throughout the year. Plus we get to meet so many new people and tell them about the network!
The Alberto VO5/One to One Network suite had the absolute best vibe. VO5 was showcasing its new haircare line and had hairstylists on hand to fix you up, while One to One was offering makeovers and free headshots. The two fit together perfectly and the suite was buzzing with activity each time I went through. It felt like backstage at a Fashion Week runway show. ~Gigi Ross from KludgyMom
We also get to play and party and soak in all that BlissDom has to offer. From dancing at Girl’s Night Out to sitting on a ballroom floor soaking in the comedic brilliance of Ana Gasteyer and Jeremy Sisto during Girl’s Night In.
We posed with Stuart the Minion, drank coffee with Johan, perused the Handmade Marketplace, had margaritas at the Cantina, hung promises on the J&J tree, hung out with Chris Mann, and had our hair done by the VO5 girls.
BlissDom, through our eyes, is more than just another conference or ‘day at the office’. It’s connections and relationships and feeling part of something bigger.
We hope you saw that, too.
Cheers!
The Gals from O2O,
Barbara, Paula, Amber, Maryellen, Krista, & Malia
Thankful for their eyes: SprittiBee, Jana Warnke, Becca Ludlum, Becky Branch, & Taylor Williams!
We’re thrilled to once again be partnering with The MOMS to bring you a fabulous sold-out event next week in New York City. We’re co-hosting a special, advance screening of the new movie, Won’t Back Down. Check out the official trailer!
Maggie Gyllenhaal and Viola Davis play two determined mothers, one a teacher, who will stop at nothing to transform their children’s failing inner city school. Facing a powerful and entrenched bureaucracy, they risk everything to make a difference in the education and future of their children.
We are especially grateful to the sponsors that are making this event possible! Please join us in thanking: Office Depot, Born This Way Foundation, Ladies Home Journal, GazziliWorld, Martini, and 20th Century Fox.
After the screening, Denise & Melissa from The MOMS will be chatting on stage with Maggie Gyllenhaal, Viola Davis, Rosie Perez and director Daniel Barnz and they’ll be taking questions from the audience.
Won’t Back Down opens September 28 in theatres everywhere.
Registration for this event is closed.
Are you one of the lucky attendees? Show some love on Twitter!

Last Friday night, over 300 of our friends and members descended on The Farrell Gallery of the San Diego Museum of Contemporary Art for the official launch party of the new website, Itemize.com! The party was called YOU-phoria and it was definitely you-phoric!
Along with Itemize.com (@itemizellc), we had the pleasure of co-hosting this fabulous party with MOMS & THE CITY (@momsandthecity) and PR Couture (@pr_couture)! Partying in an art gallery with all kinds of fun things to experience and super fun people to hang out with was definitely a highlight for us during our time in San Diego.
YOU-phoria party guests had the opportunity to experience first hand how Itemize works:
Itemize will revolutionize how you shop – forever. It’s an intelligent app that works 24/7 to learn what brands, stores and products you love the most. Based on your unique shopping profile – your Shopping DNA – it scans thousands of sites to find you the most relevant deals and offers. Itemize lets you focus on the parts of shopping that you truly love the most, and saves you time and money, while giving you insights that help you become a much smarter shopper. Plus, it keeps you organized by keeping all of your itemized receipts in one place.
Want to find out how Itemize can map your shopping DNA? Head over to Itemize.com to see how the magic happens! There’s also a great interview by Denise Albert from MOMS & THE CITY with Itemize Co-Founder , Kristen Beveridge, on NYDailyNews.com about how Itemize came to be & the YOU-phoria launch party!
You-Phoria branded pedicabs by Travelzoo brought attendees to the party
You-Phoria guests made custom T-shirts (from Hit+Run) & custom fragrances (from Future:Standard)
And took fun photo booth pics with their besties
O2O members had a blast!
Inside the gallery, the walls were moving! Watch this GLMPS from Esther Crawford to see what we mean!
Check out the Itemize blog for a full list of event partners. And Dana Kelly from (No Subject) Los Angeles (one of the event partners) also has a fun YOU-phoria party re-cap!
Thanks to Itemize.com for inviting us to be their co-host and to all of our O2O members who came out for YOU-phoria! It’s not a party without special guests and YOU helped make the night very special!
Barbara, Linda and I spent part of last week in lovely Asheville, North Carolina for the Type-A Parent social media conference. The best part of these conferences is getting to meet One2One Network members and reconnect with ones we already know! I would try to name them all but I’m afraid I would leave someone out! We have such amazing members and it’s always a treat to see them in person and speak, well, one2one!
Contrary to it’s name, Type-A Conference is a laid back and relaxed conference. While it does boast a power packed agenda of workshops, classes and amazing speakers, there is still plenty of time to connect with people, mull over the things you’ve learned and explore downtown Asheville (which is literally just a few steps from the hotel). Type-A Conference also had a variety of sponsors which meant there was at least one company or brand that was a good fit for everyone who attended.
Two sessions that really stick out for me are the Facebook Intensive workshop with Melanie Nelson (@chilihead) and Shelly Kramer’s (@ShellyKramer) session about tracking your stats across several different platforms. They provided information that was applicable to both bloggers and businesses.
O2O Senior Project Manager, Linda Sellers (@Linda_Sellers) held a Review Bloggers session with One2One Network member, Stacie Connerty (@StacieinAtlanta). Highlights from that session included:
Patti Digh’s opening keynote and Liz Gumbinner’s closing keynote perfectly bookended the conference. Patti (@PattiDigh) told us that in blogging, you need to show up and come as you are, don’t waste time trying to be clever, we’re the most potent at our ordinary. And Liz (@Mom101) reminded us that there is no way to “do it all”, something always gives and that’s just fine.
It’s been fun to read what our members have had to say about the conference. Here is a quick list a few posts that I’ve found:
I also read a couple of blog posts from non-members that I want to share just because they are great posts! Bernice Wood of Living the Balanced life has an overview of Liz Gumbinner’s closing keynote and Melissa of MomComm talks about the business card trends she saw at the conference.
What was your best takeaway from the conference? Did you finally get to meet someone you’ve known on the Internet for a long time? What was your favorite session or party or both? And if you’ve blogged about your experience, please leave a link to your post in the comments, we’d love to read it!
